Sigh Die

LAURA

– SHANE

S –

Through social media. I was perusing looking for people to play with

in the scene and I ended up because me and Laura have a few mutual

acquaintences I started following her on Instagram. Eventaualy we

started jamming together

WERE

YOU GUYS WRITING SONG BEFORE?

L

– No, he made an instagram story saying “I'm looking for a

drummer that lkes this music”

and I  was like I'm a drummer who likes that music so I replied to

his story.

S –

The Metz, Chat Pile, Jesus lizard stuff like that

OTHER

THAN THOSE BANDS HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND

L –

we struggle to describe it

S –

If you've ever heard the Cows they're a band from Minneapolis from

the 80/s 90/s

L –

I'm gonna have to listen to them.

AL

DENTE WAS RELEASED

S –

A few weeks ago

L –

March 20 a day before my birthday

WHAT

SONGS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF

S –

I like Regret You is kind of cool because that was mostly on the

spot. I also like This Town because I think it's kind of catchy

L –

I' like gumchair even though it wasn't recorded how we wanted it to

be. We recorded it too fast and we forgot a verse but I still like

it.

S –

We did that all in one day, like that whole thing. Well most of it in

one day I should say. It was a long car ride there and everyone was

kind of tired. But we struggled through it and I think it came out

pretty well.

DO

YOU PLAY THE VERSE LIVE OR IS IT GONE FOREVER

L –

It's there live. It was when I went to record the vocals I went Oh we

forgot instrumentally a verse. And I was like Well, we already packed

up the drums.

WAS

IT RECORDED AT A STUDIO / JAM SPACE / FRIEND'S PLACE?

S –

It was at a practice space that sort of kind of works as a re

L

– The JR Rehearsal space in Kitchener. And Tyson our friend in

Guelph we picked them up and then we drove them to kitchener to this

rehearsal space.

FROM

WHITBY YOU MADE THE TRECK?

L –

Next time we're recording we're going to kidnap Tyson, pick him up

and take him to Whitby and record in our basement.

WHAT

WAS THE BEST PART RECORDING

S –

I would say just how well it all came together to be honest with you.

I think that it was all very coheisve for the most part.

L –

On the spot I told tyson and shane to record some back up vocals an

they did on the spot so I liked that.

S –

It was Kick a Drum

L –

And sweating dynamite

WHAT

WAS THE HARDEST MOMENT

L –

Running out of paid rehearsal time. Me texting the owner being like

can we have one more hour

S –

And then Tyson's equipment wasn't working at the very beginning. It

wasn't looking good at first but we managed to all pull through it

all came together.

WHAT

IS THE BEST BAND FROM WHITBY THAT MAY NOT COME TO TORONTO

L –

I would've said CINDER but they're half based in Toronto. Carl

Escape? I don't think they've played their first Toronto show yet.

MESSAGE

FOR THE AUDIENCE?

S –

Thanks for listening. And we hope to bring you more music that we're

both proud of and you can enjoy
